6/13/21

Physical: Lengthy, projectable athlete in a 6-foot-1, 165lb frame with room to continue filling out. 7.42 runner in the 60-yard dash.

Offensively: RHH - The righty started from a slightly bent, open stance as the hands worked with slight wiggling rhythm, flat above the shoulder. Utilized a late, stretched load with a lift and replace stride getting out to a wide attacking position at footstrike. The hands entered the hitting zone through a flat path, yielding a standout 56% line drive rate per Trackman Baseball. Mostly middle of the field, finesse type of approach finding lots of singles over the middle infielders’ heads. Recorded a peak of 84 mph bat-exit velocity during his batting practice round, driving the lower half into a stiff/blocked off front side.

Defensively: The primary middle infielder featured adequate footwork, presenting the glove early out in front. Fielded off the middle of his body and absorbed the ball at the catch window, allowing for a clean exchange to a high ¾ release (78 mph arm). Can be short into a V-slot or grab more length if needed on the arm circle.

2/08/20

6-foot-1, 145-pound right-handed hitter starts from a square stance and initiates his swing with a leg-lift stride. Showcased a direct swing path with a line drive, middle of the field approach. Registered a bat exit velocity of 79 mph and ran a 7.60 60-yard dash. Displayed active feet and trust in his glove hand defensively with accurate 77 mph arm strength across the diamond.
