6/13/21

Physical: Thick, durable 6-foot-1, 200lb frame with strength carried throughout the movements. 8.19 runner in the 60-yard dash.

Offensively: LHH - Started with a balanced, crouched stance and the barrel pointing up/down just above the shoulder. Utilized a short lift and replace stride in order to initiate the bat head through a flat path working from a barrel tip at the top of the load. Found success hard to pull, staying on the barrel for base hits through the 3-4 hole with regularity; posted an impressive 43% line drive rate via Trackman and added a solid 91 mph bat-exit velocity during his batting practice round. Sneaky bat to ball skills projecting with occasional extra-base pop in the middle of an order.

Defensively: The first baseman flashed a medium/high posture and fielded softly off the inside of the right foot, clean exchanges and a smooth/quick release at , notching a low-intent 66 mph arm strength across the diamond. Able to pick it in the dirt and handled plays to his glove hand side with some feel.

Pitching: LHP - Operated from the stretch-only off the far right side of the rubber; gradual leg lift to a balanced position with slight hip-coil and worked down the slope on-time with connected/downhill movement on the tilt. FB entered the zone with some sink to it (77-80 mph, strikes, 1635rpms), mixing a short-sweeping 67-69 mph CB with 1/7 tilt. Able to throw both early in counts and kept hitters in between speeds.
