6/13/17 6-foot-1, 160-pound two-way prospect with athletic frame that still has room for added growth.  Left-handed hitter incorporates a short, lift-and-replace stride from a square stance to initiate his swing. Compact, line drive approach resulted in consistent barrels in batting practice and a bat exit velocity of 74 mph.  Moves well around the bag at first base and ran a 7.52 60-yard dash.  Lefty sat 80-83 on the mound, a five mph jump since we last saw him six months ago.  Works from a high 3/4 arm slot with a loose, repeatable delivery.  Curveball got better and better as his three innings wore on.  At its best it showed late 1/7 bite at 68 mph.

1/14/17 6-foot-1, 160-pound left-handed hitter starts from a square stance and utilizes a heel raise stride to initiate his swing. Displayed a feel for the barrel with a bat exit velocity of 75 mph. Solid defender with a soft glove hand showcased 72 mph arm strength across the diamond. Lefty sat 75-77 off the bump from a high 3/4 arm slot with and easy, repeatable delivery. 61 mph curveball showed hard, biting 12/6 rotation. Also displayed a 65 mph changeup thrown at fastball arm speed. Athletic, projectable body. Should see velocity spike over next two years.
