Physical: 6-1, 175 pounds; Slight, Athletic build. 7.12 runner in the 60. Offensively: RHH. Open setup, with feet just outside his shoulders; has a pre-pitch bat waggle. Loads straight back with a knee knock leg kick for timing. Stays behind the ball while showing a strong lower half. Showed a swing path that gets around the ball with a two handed finish. More groundballs than line drives and flyballs with a peak exit velocity of 89 MPH via Trackman. Defensively: Starts with an upright /tall setup; uses prep step while showing choppy feet. Hands are out in front with a clean transfer. Long arm swing from a high 3/4 arm slot. OF - 85 MPH.
2/14/21
Physical: 6’0 155lb MIF ran a 7.51 laser timed 60 yard dash. Young and thin frame has solid natural movements and room to add size and strength.
Offensively: Starts with a wide base with his hands resting the bat right by his back shoulder. Has a simultaneous load between his low half and his hands. The barrel works down through the ball as he stiffens his front side, pushing backwards away from the ball.
Defensively: Moves actively when approaching the ball. He does have a slight delay as he receives the ball with two hands and regains momentum towards 1st base. Makes his throws from mainly a ¾ arm slot.
