The athlete's maximum throwing velocity from an infield position in the given event year. Measured in miles per hour (MPH).
85.0
60 Yard Dash
The athlete's fastest 60-yard dash time in the given event year. Measured in seconds (s)
7.60
Infield Velocity
The athlete's maximum throwing velocity from an infield position in the given event year. Measured in miles per hour (MPH).
81.0
Power / Speed Score
A simple calculation that divides the athlete’s Exit Velocity Max by the athlete’s 60 Yard Dash time for the given event year. For example, 98 MPH / 7.00s = 14.00.
A fastball with hop has a flat approach angle and visually jumps through the zone. When thrown up in the zone, it is more likely to generate a higher swing and miss average. Hop+ of 100 is MLB average.
Fastball
Sink+
A fastball with sink has low backspin and drops through the strike zone. When thrown down in the zone, it is more likely to generate a higher ground ball percentage and lower launch angle. Sink+ of 100 is MLB average.
Fastball
Rise+
A fastball with rise has a high percentage of backspin. When thrown up in the zone, it is more likely to generate a higher fly ball percentage. Rise+ of 100 is MLB average
Curveball
Hammer+
A hammer breaking ball drops vertically with velocity through the zone, or 12-to-6 movement. Hammer+ of 100 is MLB average.
Curveball
Sweep+
A sweeping breaking ball moves horizontally with velocity through the zone. Sweep+ of 100 is MLB average.
The highest Edge Score within the given year. Edge Score is a comprehensive score that takes the core-six visual skills into account, providing an assessment of an athlete’s overall visual ability.
The maximum speed, in the direction of home plate, that the wrist is traveling. Measured in meters per second (m/s)
Arm Slot
Angle of the forearm relative to the ground between maximum external rotation (MER) and ball release (BR). Which can be a powerful player comparison metric, delivered in degrees.
Knee Extension Velo
The angular velocity of the front knee straightening after foot plant, which provides indicators of velocity potential. Measured in degrees per second.
Deception
The amount of time that the ball is visible to the hitter, after the instant of front foot strike. Measures in milliseconds.
Hip-Shoulder Separation
The difference in angle of between the hips and shoulders, occurring close to the foot plant. Measured in degrees.
Physical: 5-10, 175 pounds; Long, lean build. Pitching: Uses a glove side setup working primarily from the stretch. Mid chest leg drive with a slight coil away from the plate. Has a long stride landing inline with the plate. Long arm swing while arm wraps behind the body; standard 3/4 slot. Spins off 1B side with finish. FB: Peak velo of 82 MPH, while sitting 78-81 MPH; life through the zone. CB: 69-71 MPH; 11-5 shape. CH: 76-77 MPH; runs. OTHER: cutt 75-77 MPH; CT: late lateral action. Seems to have move velocity in the tank; projects to be an effective college arm in the right situation.
6/12/22
Physical: Compact, proportional 5-foot-10, 160lber. Ran a 7.60 in the 60-yard dash.
Offensively: RHH. Wider, balanced stance that gets into the legs well, some rhythm pre-set above the shoulder. Utilized a leg-lift stride to initiate the swing through a slightly uphill path into the hitting zone. The chest lifted on the ball, but hands stayed in good position, allowing for a 44% line drive rate and T85 mph bat-exit velocity during his round. Peppered the middle/pull side of the field.
Defensively: The shortstop featured bounce in the prep step and moved accurately from right to left through the ball. Posed downward angles at the window, fielding softly and released up to 81 mph across the diamond. Moderate pace that might find a home at a corner spot.
Pitching: RHP - The righty began off the left side of the bump with a clean delivery, hiding the ball at the stack with some hip-coil. Worked long out in front up to 80 mph on the FB, mixing lower spin, mid-60’s CB and the makings of a quality low-70’s CH. Commanded the zone.
