Physical: 6-2, 195 pounds; Long, Slight build. 6.87 runner in the 60. Offensively: RHH. Even setup, with feet just outside his shoulders; flat bat to start. Short take back with the hands with an up and down stride for timing. Stays behind the ball while showing a strong lower half. Showed a slight lift to the ball with a late one hand finish. More flyballs than line drives and groundballs with a peak exit velocity of 95 MPH via Trackman. Gap to gap approach with power. Defensively: Starts with a low to the ground setup; uses prep hop while showing active feet. Hands work through the ball with a clean transfer. Short take back from a high 3/4 arm slot. INF - 80 MPH. Pitching: Uses a center rubber setup working primarily from the stretch. Mid chest leg drive with a slight lean over the belt. Has a moderate stride landing inline with the plate. Long arm swing while arm stays in line with 2B; standard 3/4 slot. Spins off 1B side with finish. FB: Peak velo of 79 MPH, while sitting 76-78 MPH; arm side run. CB: 68-70 MPH; early action.
3/04/23
Physical: XL 6-foot-2, 195lb imposing frame. M2C power wise. 7.04 runner in the 60YD.
Offensively: RHH. Relaxed stance, as the elbows work at top of the rib cage from a wider base. Utilized a forward lift-and-replace stride to initiate the swing through a flat, whippy path into the hitting zone. Quick bat was evident during a loud round; T92MPH EV and furthest blast traveled an estimated 302FT. Line-drive approach.
Defensively: The primary first baseman showed A/AVG feel for his body around the bag, committing to attack early in the route. Operated low and alternated inside/outside turns on the double play. 81MPH throwing arm (OTT).
6/12/22
Physical: Taller, lengthy 6-foot-2, 180lb frame with projection. 7.22 runner in the 60.
Offensively: RHH. Wider, even stance, as the barrel rests on shoulder to begin. Utilized an up, down leg lift stride to initiate the swing through a flat path that extends on the ball. Posted a T90 mph bat-exit velocity at 330 feet, and did damage when staying behind and in the lower half more. Recorded 64% sweet spot rate, showing the ability to turn the bat-head with accuracy in the box. More to come strength wise as well.
Defensively: The primary backstop featured some raw parts defensively, but the athleticism finds a way to make it work. Moderate posture from traditional crouch, adequate glove skills, and 2.26 pop time at 71 mph. Used his longer body for down angles on blocks.
