1/28/17 6-foot-1, 165-pound right-handed hitter starts from a square stance and initiates his swing with a lift-and-replace stride. Displayed a flat barrel path through the zone while squaring the baseball consistently with a bat exit velocity of 83 mph. Ran a 7.47 60-yard dash and showcased pop times of 2.44-2.48 on throws of 71 mph out of the crouch. Footwork slows his transition in spite of solid arm strength. Additional work on lower half will speed up release time leading to lowered pop times.

10/29/16 6-foot-1, 165-pound right-handed hitter starts from a wide, slightly open stance and utilizes a short, lift-and-replace stride to initiate his swing. Displayed a flat barrel path that stays in the zone for extended periods of time with a bat exit velocity of 81 mph. The junior ran a 7.20 60-yard dash and registered pop times of 2.47-2.58 on throws of 68 mph from the crouch. Would benefit from additional work to speed up his release while working through the baseball.
