Physical: Advanced 6-foot, 179lb frame with strength throughout. 7.79 runner in the 60-yard dash.
Offensively: RHH - Tall, slightly open stance and flashed quiet rhythm in the hands. Utilized a small leg-lift stride to initiate the swing through a flat, adjustable path towards a smooth two-handed finish. Clean round offensively with plenty of barrel control, posting a T84 mph bat-exit velocity, 80 mph AVG and living from gap to gap (70% sweet spot rate). Moderate effort, more in the tank, lags the bat-head properly to gain extension at impact.
Defensively: The first baseman demonstrated a wider base and developing footwork, arriving on time to the ball with the glove hand presented in front of the toes. Funneled easily inward, releasing from a H ¾ slot (80 mph arm, accurate).
Pitching: RHP - Operated from the stretch only off of the middle of the rubber; traditional stack position before getting over the front side with moderate pace. High ¾ slot, held the line well to the glove, and utilized a full arm-circle. The FB landed 76 mph with heavy action into the zone, mixing an 11/5, low-60’s CB and a solid CH at 62-64, which has a chance.
