Cadieux-Lanoue (‘23 Iowa) only had one start in Florida and it was one of Canada’s best performances on the mound. He worked 5.2 innings against South Africa allowing just two runs, two hits, three walks and struck out six. Despite allowing a double and a homerun, Lanoue allowed just one baserunner an inning and picked up the win in the process.
Our PBR Florida staff saw the ABC left-hander up to 93mph with above-average spin back in July and his electric stuff should draw some interest come draft time.
Stat Line: 1 GS | 5.2 IP | 2.47 ERA | 2 H | 2 R | 3 BB | 6 K | .111 AVG
8/08/22
The 6-foot-1 left-handed pitcher showed off an ability to pitch effectively against any lineup. Has a 3/4 arm slot with a strong feel for his pitch mix, alternates between a loopy curveball and a late-breaking slider to generate swings and misses. Good mound presence, athletic movement in his delivery, works low in the zone. A ‘22 Future Gamer, Junior National Team member and recent Iowa commit.

2024 LHP Elliot Cadieux-Lanoue had the best bullpen on the day in Montreal. He sat 90-91, topping out at 91.5 mph from a medium effort, high ¾ arm slot. The 5-foot-11, 190-pound left-hander impressed at the Future Games this summer with his athletic movements on the mound and the velo jump we’ve been waiting for has arrived. The ball was jumping out of his hand and he also mixed a curveball at 67-69, a changeup at 82-84 and a slider at 73-74. A must-watch arm out here in Quebec who will be sure to draw a lot of attention going forward.
