Daniel Rice: SS/3B, (2022) out of The Winchendon school, RI. is a 5-foot-10, 185-pound two-way prospect. During batting practice, Rice recorded an exit velocity of 94 mph with a (69.1 mph bat speed average) and (20.6 mph hand speed average). He starts in a balanced, athletic stance with the hands set just off the back shoulder. He then uses a short stride to initiate a simple, flat swing with a good finish. During the rounds, Rice made a lot of solid contact, showed a quick bat and the ability to use the whole field. In the infield, Rice showed some arm strength with throws up to 85 mph across the diamond, while also showing he had sure hands, consistent, smooth footwork, and a clean exchange. In the 60-yard dash, recorded a time of 7.16. On the mound, Rice works out of a quick, high ¾ arm slot that produces a sinking fastball that sits 84-86 mph (Max spin 2203; Avg 2096). His delivery is simple, easy and direct. Rice gets to a consistent balance point with the shoulders in line with the plate. He lands square with a clean finish. Rice also featured a tight, 12/6 curveball (68-69 mph) (Max spin 2148; Avg 2107) and a late sinking changeup (75-76 mph).

5-foot-10, 175-pound left-handed hitting infielder. He ran a 7.0 sixty at the event. The approach in the infield is solid as he moves his feet through the fielding of the baseball. The glove is soft and he threw 82 mph across the diamond during the infield portion of the workout. The footwork after fielding the ball needs to be smoothed out as he takes an extra step with the ball. The bat has an exit velocity of 85 mph. The setup is wide in base and the feet are under control throughout. He stays in his legs and uses his hands very well. The path is flat and he showed the ability to make solid contact all day.

INF Velocity- 82 mph

5-foot-10, 170-pound left-handed hitting infielder. He ran a 7.15 sixty at the event. The approach in the infield is on point as the hands are soft and he keeps the feet active throughout the process of fielding the ball. The arm swing is long as he threw 78 mph across the diamond during the infield portion of the workout. The bat has an exit velocity of 92 mph. The setup is athletic  and he stays under control throughout the swing. The hands are set low and he showed an opposite field approach to hitting.

INF Velocity- 78 mph
