5-foot-10, 165 pounds, athletic, lean frame, sloped shoulders. Looks the part of a ballplayer. Good core strength, can continue to fill out a bit in the upper body. Ran a 6.68 sixty yard dash. At the plate, Stravato begins in a slightly open stance with the feet shoulder width apart. Hands are quiet with fluidity, working from the shoulder. A small leg kick triggers a balanced swing. Exhibited good line drive contact in the cage with ball tracking skills. Finishes with two hands, rotates through the point of contact, and showed some above average bat speed when on time mechanically. The bat path is usually level but gains some lift when looking to drive balls on the inner half. His tee exit velocity was measured at 81 MPH. Defensively, Stravato has some versatility as his speed plays in the outfield. The arm actions is clean, working from a high ¾ slot. Throws were clocked up to 79 MPH from the outfield, making a three MPH jump since last year, and there is room for another spike moving forward, especially as he learns to get more of the body into his throws as most of the velocity comes from the arm right now. An athletic outfielder with some physical projection left and present tools, Stravato is a 2019 follow on the summer circuit as he heads into his senior year.
