4/18/21

6-foot-1, 215-pound, strong, solid, durable athletic frame. A right-handed pitcher, who works out of the set position, has a quick, up tempo delivery. The stride is inline, behind the baseball on foot strike and release. The arm action is short, clean and quick, working from a 3/4 slot. The fastball was clocked at 81-83 mph, with heavy arm side sink. Throws a harder slider, swing and miss action at times, clocked up to 71 mph. Showed a fading changeup at 73 mph. Attacks and works quick, solid bullpen arm option.

6-foot-1, 215-pound, stronger, thick athletic frame, strength throughout. A right-handed pitcher, also worked out as a position player as well. Off the mound, threw the baseball very well, working from the set position, is loaded and tall on the backside, direction is inline to the plate and is behind the baseball on foot strike. The glove side shows minimal pull to it, arm action is longer and clean on the backside, working through a 3/4 to higher 3/4 slot. Pounded the zone with a three pitch mix, fastball came out of the hand well, clocked at 81 mph, with arm side run to it. The breaking ball acts more like a slider, clocked at 69 mph, with late break and depth to it. Showed feel for a changeup at 69-75 mph, compliments the fastball. At the plate, swings it from the left-side, shows pop to pull gap, had an exit velocity of 85 mph, swing path is clean. More middle to opposite field approach. Defensively, at first base, feet move around the bag, glove is soft. the arm is clean and threw 78 mph, plenty of carry across the diamond. Projects out for me more off the mound, look for a jump in velocity, an arm that can help.

Exit Velocity: 85 mph

Arm Action: 78 mph

5-foot-11, 195-pound, think, wide, strong athletic frame. A two-way player, off the mound, this right-hander has a slower controlled delivery. Repeats it, has good direction and uses his full body to pitch the baseball. The arm action is short and clean, working out of a ¾ to high 3/4 slot. Pounds the zone with a 3 pitch mix. The fastball reached 75 mph, with bore action to it. The spin pitch is advanced for his age, clocked at 66 mph, tilt and proper shape to it. The change up showed proper action, with fade, clocked at 68 mph, works off fastball. At the plate, hits from left side, balanced set up, with loose, lower hands. The lower half is under control, small pick up, backside is used well. The swing is down to level up, barrel could stay in zone a tick longer. The approach is more middle to pull, has above average pop for his age, tee exit velocity was clocked at 80 mph. Defensively, soft hands at first, clean picks on dirt balls.  Moves well around the bag, good drop steps. The arm action is clean, clocked at 71 mph across the diamond, throws were accurate. Love the feel off the mound, continued conditioning is a must, will aid is all areas of his game.
