8.23.18

6-foot-1, 228-pound, strong, thick durable frame. A left-handed hitting first baseman, who can move to a corner spot in outfield as well. A strong left-handed hitter, hands have strength to them, are loose at the shoulders. The swing is level to up, creates loft and lift to it, more of a pull approach, has above average power to the pull side. The tee exit velocity was clocked at 87 mph, baseball jumps off the bat. The sixty-yard dash was clocked at 7.61, ran well on a slow track, moves well for a bigger kid.  Defensively, the hands are soft around the bag on the catch and picks. The footwork is clean and gets off the back, correct drop steps starting the double play. The arm works from a high ¾ slot, clocked at 76 mph, all throws were on target. Consistently gets the barrel to the baseball, hard contact all day, chance to hit at the next level with power.

8.19.18

6-foot-1, 230 pound left-handed hitting outfielder and first baseman. Second time seeing Paul in a short period and he was better this time around. Ran a 4.8 down the line on his dig to first base. The glove is solid in the outfield, corner position only. Threw 78 mph from right field to the plate. Can also kick into the infield and play a solid first base. The bat has a tee exit velocity of 88 mph, the hands are strong. The setup is even in base, toe tap as the ball approaches. The path is a tick uphill, but the hands work freely. The potential to hit for power is there, would like to see him be a bit more upright at contact.
