The 5-foot-9, 150-pound southpaw with a nice uptick in velo from last summer. Medium, average build w/ some projection. Shorter, stab arm action that works up to 3/4 slot w/ good arm speed. Lax sat 77-80 with feel for his secondary offerings.
5-foot-9, 150-pound lean frame; OF/LHP. At the plate, the left-handed hitter had an exit velocity of 83 mph. Started in tall stance, had a smooth load and used a leg kick to initiate his swing. Exhibited above average bat speed and an upward swing plane. From the outfield, his best throws to the bases were registered at 73 mph;displayed a clean exchange, quick feet and sure hands. Had a high ¾ slot and a short arm action. On the mound, he had a long arm action with a high ¾ arm angle. He is a tall-and-fall type pitcher. He threw his curveball with consistency at 62-64 mph; has slight action on his 11/5 curveball. His fastball was clocked at 70-72 mph.
