Hit: RHH. Even stance, lower hand set. Present power at the plate, worked to both gaps with line drive approach. 70.7 mph bat speed with 10 G's of rotational acceleration.
Power: 93 max exit velocity, averaged 81.6 mph. 294' max distance.
Arm: RH. C-79 mph.
Defense: 1.91-1.98 pop times.
ATH: 7.25 runner in the 60. 2.89 and 5.11 in the 10 and 30 yard splits.
Cohen Babelay (2026, Maryville) The backstop got on our radar this summer at Top-Prospect Games where he competed really well agaisnt quality arms at the plate. We have been fortunate to see him a few times since then and most recently at our Prep Baseball Tennessee Preseason All-State and continued his increasing level of play with a very good showing against Hardin Valley. The sophomore Babelay collected a hard line drive up the middle on a day where offense was hard to come by for the Rebels. The catcher worked hard behind the plate with a good feel for receiving. Showed a pop time ranging from 1.87-2.05 at the TNPAS earlier this year. Babelay looks to be a mainstay in the hitting lineup for the Rebels and still holds a lot of room to develop further going forward.

Body: 5-11, 181-pounds. Medium frame with athletic look.
Hit: RHH. Begins slightly closed with weight favoring the back leg. Hands start on the outside of his shoulder. Up and down stride loads the back leg. Hands load back slightly before going on footlaunch. Body rotates around the center of his body. Bat is quick through the zone working though the left center to centerfield areas. More batspeed and control to come as he develops further. 67.5 mph bat speed with 11 G's of rotational acceleration.
Power: 91 max exit velocity, averaged 76.1 mph. 285' max distance.
Arm: RH. C-77 mph. Money throws to the rightside of second in the air. Fast arm action and release.
Defense: 1.87-2.05 pop times. Gains good ground towards second, moves in a straight line.
