5-foot-11, 174-pound catcher has continued to showcase the ability to pick up hits in bunches. Solid frame with some physicality.  At the dish, wide-balanced setup with gathered load on small leg kick with great burst into swing.  Generates great bat speed (Avg: 72.4 mph) and explodes flawlessly  with lower half (Max Rotational Acceleration: 35.2 G).  Lot of barrels and consistent hard contact (Max exit velo: 94 mph; Distance: 336 ft via Trackman).  Behind the dish, solid defensively with good blocking and receiving.  Didn't pop it as well as in the past on throw downs to 2B, but solid arm strength and sound footwork.  Wright projects as a hybrid C/3B/2B prospect with a strong offensive skillset and the data to certify his progression against tougher pitching.

The 5-foot-11, 174-pound catcher/third baseman just simply rakes. After a strong Border Battle this fall, Wright packed on probably 15-pounds of lean muscle over the offseason and showed out at the East TN Preseason Showcase.  Wright barreled baseball after baseball with a short compact swing with great bat speed and rotational acceleration. He has the tools to stay behind the plate at the next level and can provide depth at 3B/2B in an offensive-hybrid role.  This workhorse brings a physical edge to the game, especially in the box.

Behind the plate, displayed next-level catching ability by boasting a 1.97-2.04 pop time, best recorded velocity during throw downs was clocked at 74 mph; had a fluid exchange and firm hands. Had a compact arm action and an-over-the-top slot.

Uncommitted. 5-foot-11, 174-pound right-handed hitter with wiry strength. Showed loose, quick hands at the plate and swings with intent. Maintains rhythm and balance throughout, aggressive at launch.
