9/10/17 - 6-0, 215-pound infielder.  Righty hitter hits from an open, slightly crouched stance w/ back shoulder hand location and a little bat waggle.  Mini knee to knee leg kick w/ hands dropping and returning to the proper position.  Avg bat speed.  Surprisingly consistent swing for contact given the movement of his hands.  Showed ability to recognize off speed pitches.  Showed avg arm strength.  Walters State commit.
10/15/16 - Home-1st: 4.75, Position Velocity:  IF - 85, Exit Velocity: 101
6-foot-0, 215-pound, RHH continued to impress, as he has repeatedly done over the past 5 months or so with some of the best bat speed in the country shown in his 101 mph exit velocity, uses that same leg kick and stride with a lower half that explodes to promote a lot of action in his swing, bat path still works slightly up and produces a ton of pop through his ability to drive through the plane of the pitch, drove balls deep into the gaps in BP with the wind blowing in.  Defensively, has the hands of a middle infielder and plays through the ball well, arm strength is firm across the infield.  Plays shortstop at the high school level, but projects much higher as a 3B.  Smoked a double off the wall in left field during game play and squared up another one right at the shortstop. Approach and patience at the plate can improve.

7/26/16 - Home-1st: 4.75, Position Velocity:  83, Exit Velocity: 98
6-foot-0, 215-pound, RHH hits from an athletic and slightly open stance and uses a quicker leg kick and stride with a lowering of the hands to get himself really loaded up, lower half explodes and adds a lot of power and torque to his swing, bat path can get steep on pitches down in the zone but uses some lift at the end to really drive the ball, hit multiple balls to the wall and even a couple home runs in BP.  Defensively, showed good hands and average footwork, didn’t work through the ball as well as he’s capable, an efficient transfer led to a quicker arm action that produced some good throws through a high ¾ arm slot across the infield.  Hammons recorded the highest exit velo at 98 mph and earned himself a spot on Tennessee’s Future Games team.
