6-foot, 148-pound lean frame. During batting practice, Romines clocked an exit velocity of 75 mph. Begins in a crouched open stance with a compact small load, then uses a toe tap just before his swing. Bat speed was above average, displayed an inside-out uphill swing plane and high finish. He Barreled up a few balls during his round. Line drive approach. Average from the outfield, he showed the ability to throw at velocities up to 75 mph; showed sure hands, consistent average feet and a packing exchange. Used a long arm action and a high ¾ slot while showing decent accuracy to the base. Clocked a time of 7.35 in the 60-yard dash. Average on the mound, showed some arm speed with a high ¾ arm angle and a long arm action. Tall-and-fall type pitcher and uses some effort. Balance is tall point with uphill shoulders in his delivery. Lands closed with a falling off finish. Produced a fastball that came in at 72-75 mph; had decent control and slight action with flat movement. His 12/6 curveball (58-60) has some command and gradual action. Shows sporadic control and running action on his changeup (64-67).
