Positional Profile: RHP/OF Skilled uncommitted arm w/ two pitch mix and backend experience.
Body: 6-0, 180-pounds. Compact frame w/ muscular build and athleticism.
Delivery: Rhythm in delivery w/ good tempo. Drop n drive lower half w/ cross fire and square toe landing.
Arm Action: RH. Long, loose arm action working up to low 3/4 slot and some recoil.
FB: T87.5, 85-87 mph. Straight movement, but some ride and life up in the zone. Attacks the zone and challenges hitters. T2164, 2022 average rpm.
CB: 71-72 mph. Good shape and fair bite w/ flashes of swing n miss. Late slurvy bite. T2239, 2161 average rpm.
CUT: 76-78 mph. More SL than Cutter. Short 10/4 bite w/ some feel to land. Varies shape, finding more consistency.
Uncommitted, 6-foot, 180-lb athletic proportional frame w/ present strength throughout and some projection. Quiet, repeatable delivery w/ controlled tempo and high leg lift. Drop n drive lower half as he glides down the slope into square toe landing. Full arm circle w/ quickness working up to 3/4 slot. Attacks with the FB at 85-88 (T 2297 rpm) w/ life and some late horizontal bite. Mixes two distinct sharp breaking balls. CB at 70-73 (T 2267 rpm) w/ depth and more downer bite, but maintains deception of FB. Hard SL at 73-77 (T 2279 rpm) w/ more 10/4 shape and flashes more swing n miss potential. Reese was stellar for the Golden Bears out of the pen, and seems a natural fit there at the next level with potential to develop as starter w/ development of a CH.
5-foot-10, 145-pound athletic frame. At the plate, the right-handed hitter's best exit velocity was 77 mph. Begins in a wide stance with a wrapping load, then uses a short stride before his swing. Exhibits a level swing plane and high finish. In the infield, made throws across the field up to 78 mph; had smooth footwork and raw hands. Used a ¾ slot. He clocked a time of 7.62 in the 60-yard dash. On the mound, he has a high ¾ angle and a loose arm action. He is a drop-and-drive type pitcher who uses some effort. A tall balance point. Has a falling off finish and lands square. Produced a fastball that came in at 75-77 mph with a max of 77 mph; shows some action and some command. Has a 11/5 curveball (60-62). His changeup(70-71) showed tailing action.
