6/13/17 - H-1B: 4.38, Position Velocity: 83, Exit Velocity: 88
5’10, 175-pound, RHH is another solid prospect in the 2018 class that is going to end up being a steal for any collegiate program that is lucky enough to get him on board.  McCurry is a little raw in everything he does, but consistently produces on both sides of the ball.  Offensively, he finds the barrel on a regular basis and has enough pop to become a legitimate doubles threat down the road.  McCurry shows good confidence and takes a very mature approach to the plate.  Defensively, he covers more ground than you may think and isn’t afraid to lay out for a ball in a big situation.  His arm strength has continued to improve and now shows more carry than we have seen from him in the past.  McCurry went 2-2 with a double in the first game and unfortunately had to get on the road for a weekend tournament.

10/15/16 - Home-1st: 4.65, Position Velocity:  OF - 82, Exit Velocity: 87
5-foot-10, 165-pound, hits from a wider and even stance with the same look we saw at the Knights PBR Day, where he impressed enough to earn a spot on the Border Battle team, hands come down and back to get loaded with an abbreviated leg kick that gets his lower half going, bat path is flat to slightly uphill and produces some very solid line drives, sprayed it all around the field in BP, took a good approach to the plate.  Defensively, showed the ability to make all of the routine plays, arm action and play through the ball should improve over time, throws had some decent carry with some accuracy into the infield.   McCurry showed a great approach by recording a walk and a hit-by-pitch to go along with his single to cap off a 1-3 performance.

9/25/16 - 60 Time: 7.20, Position Velocity:  OF-82, Exit Velocity: 84
5-foot-10, 165-pound, RHH hits from a wider and even stance with pretty still hands before his shorter and early stride, smooth lowering and push back of his hands is used to complete his load, lower half gets through but can come forward and keep him a little tall at times, hands drop into a good slot and produce a flat to slightly uphill swing path through the zone that provides constant contact and the ability to drive the ball toward the gaps, gamer. Defensively, showed average hands and footwork as he played through the ball but wasn’t always as aggressive as he could have been, fielded some balls on the ground with both hands, longer arm action came through a high ¾ slot.  McCurry earned a spot on Tennessee’s Border Battle Games team with his performance.
