A strong-bodied reliever with a loose, quick arm. Electric arm, at times, sitting 95-97 mph. It’s a big moving, hard-to-locate fastball with 19 inches of IVB and 17 inches of horizontal break. Degges also flashed a wipeout slider at 84 mph with spin into the 2,600-2,700 rpm range. For all the good that his stuff shows, he is a work-in-progress at this point, Degges will likely receive Day Three consideration this summer as he offers plenty of upside and intrigue for any club, especially those known for developing pitching.

Very toolsy (100+ exit velo, 95 OF, good runner). Lean, athletic frame w/ loose, quick arm. Lively FB at 91-93 T94 (T 2410 rpm) w/ some ASR. Bending SL at 80-81 w/ late bite (T 2593 rpm).

The 5-foot-11, 165-pound outfield prospect burst onto the scene this summer at Unsigned Sr. Showcase in May and capped off the summer with another outstanding performance at the Southeast Unsigned Sr. Games.  Degges lit up the Blast Motion sensor showcasing premium bat speed (Max: 82.5 mph | AVG: 76-79) to go with excellent rotational acceleration (Max: 27.3 G).  Combining these metrics with a high hard contact percentage, Degges profiles as a high-floor, potentially high-ceiling athlete as he progresses levels.  Simple setup and fluid rhythm at the dish with healthy appetite for barrels (Max Exit Velo: 100.2 mph | AVG: 88.7 via Trackman).  Defensively, strong runner, logging a 6.96 laser timed 60, and can play all three outfield positions while providing some depth in the infield due to his athleticism.  Posted the top OF Velo at both events (89 mph), so plenty of arm strength to go w/ accuracy.   

The 5-foot-11, 165-pound athlete put on quite the display serving time as both OF and SS.  Posted the event’s top exit velo (93 mph) and outfield velo (88 mph).  Lightning quick arm with loose arm action, shortened up slot during infield work, swift feet and solid footwork.  Good runner posting a 4.35 Home to First.  Smooth swing at the dish with big league bat speed (Avg: 77.9 Max: 82.5 via Blast) and elite rotational acceleration (Avg: 22 G Max: 27.3 G via Blast). Sprayed the ball to all fields with ability to barrel the ball into the power alleys, Degges hit the longest ball via Trackman projected 348 ft.  

OF/SS, (2021) Christian Academy of Knoxville, TN. 5-foot-11, 165-pound athletic frame. At the plate, Degges showed his power ability with an exit velocity of 93 mph. Begins in a tall stance with a smooth controlled load, then uses a long stride just before his swing. Bat speed is raw, uses flat swing plane and level finish. Found some barrels with tons of loud contact. Throwing from the outfield, he displayed power in his arm with throws up to 88 mph;had sure hands and athletic footwork. In the infield, had a live arm with throws that topped out at 85 mph; has consistent hands. Movements laterally were athletic. Used a loose arm action and a high ¾ slot.
