6-foot-4, 225-pound solid frame; LHP/1B. On the mound, he showed a short arm action and a high ¾ arm angle with quick arm speed to the plate. He is a drop-and-drive type pitcher. Tall balance point and even shoulders before delivery. His fastball came in at 80-82 mph. His curveball (70-71 mph) had the most depth when he located it down by the hitter’s knees. His sinking changeup (71-72) had some action.
10/13/18 - Max FB: 82, FB: 80-82, CB: 68-69, CH: 71-72 6-foot-4, 225-pound, LHP was dynamic in his two innings, facing the minimum and striking out 2 a week after he topped out at 85 in better baseball conditions. Prototypical pitcher frame, XL tall, sturdy frame w/ physical lower half, close to mature. Pitches from a full wind-up into ¾ release from the third base side of the rubber. Classic rock and fire style delivery w/ some deception. Quick arm. Angle. FB shows occasional short arm-side run. Short downer CB, would like to see him develop a SL to maximize the angle and slot he creates. CH w/ occasional arm-speed, short fade and sink. Around the zone w/ his 3-pitch mix, 13 of 21 for strikes, projects to command.
6-3, 215-pound left handed pitcher is big, physical body, reminds of former Collierville 1B/LHP Adam Hall. Pitches from a full wind-up w/ H ¾ release. Still learning to use legs in delivery. FB w/ consistent arm side run, occasional sink. Slurvy CB gets loose, early breaker hitters see rise out of hand. CH w/ armspeed, fade and sink used as an out pitch. Feel for burying. More of a thrower then pitcher right now. Very intriguing lefty w/ a velo jump coming.
