9/17/17 - 5-11, 210 pound corner infield shows short swing w/ developing power. Righty hits from a straight on, very slightly crouched stance w/ back ear hand location. Stride to slightly open w/ proper hand load. Short to the ball in easy to repeat swing. Pull approach. Flashes ability to stay on ball and drive it to opposite field. Projectable home run power. DNS enough defensively for eval. Intriguing offensive tool package to follow.
10/16/16 - Home-1st: 4.94, Position Velocity: IF - 61, Exit Velocity: 84 5-foot-11, 200-pound, RHH hit from the same balanced and even stance we saw at the Top Prospect Games in June, stride and slight barrel tilt he uses for a load use pretty good rhythm and act very consistently, lower half its solid and gets through to give him a very balanced base, bat path is very flat through contact and can provide some lift on higher pitches, showed some gap-to-gap pop with his strong frame and ability to get through the ball. Defensively, showed average hands and footwork as he could have played through the ball more aggressively, arm action is still short and produced accurate throws that should increase carry with time. Hayslip found a hole for a single to right and drew a walk in game play.
6/14/16 - 60 Time: 7.37, Position Velocity: IF-63, Exit Velocity: 75 5'11, 205-pound, RHH hits from a balanced and even stance, uses a rhythmic stride and hand movement to constitute his load, lower half tries to get through but holds back just a touch when he gets too much weight going forward and leaning. Bat path is pretty good, as he gets on plane early and stays in the zone very well, gets through the ball okay. Defensively, shows average hands and footwork in fielding the ball, short arm action was a little stiff with some accuracy. Played a couple innings of OF in game play, but projects as a first baseman.
