6-foot-0, 185-pound, RHP moves athletically on the mound and uses some good rhythm and a sense of confidence that allows him to compete at a high level. Flynn seems pretty polished and used a positive tempo throughout his outing. Arm action is shorter but stays loose and athletic throughout his finish. Fastball had some slight run, especially when kept down in the zone, and his curveball showed 11/5 shape with some occasional late break.
1/16/17 - Max FB: 82, FB: 81-82, CB: 67-69, CH: 72-75,
6-foot-0, 181-pound, RHP has an athletic build and uses some solid rhythm and good tempo throughout his delivery, continues to improve each time we see him on the mound, leg lift is under control and creates some momentum into his descent toward the plate, shoulders tilt slightly at the top, stride lands in line and finishes well-balanced, loose arm action comes through a high ¾ release point, still possesses some upside. Fastball was mostly straight but had some life, curveball showed gradual movement with 11/5 shape, changeup was a change of pace.
6/14/16 - Max FB: 81, FB: 78-81, CB: 66-70,
6'1, 165-pound, RHP has a pretty strong and athletic build on the mound and uses some good action in his motion to deliver pitches from an over-the-top arm slot, showed a long arm action and one of the longest follow-throughs in the event, reasonably high leg lift and some good shoulder tilt lead to a downward angle on his pitches, alignment stayed directly toward the plate until a little bit of a drift toward first base at the end. Fastball stayed relatively straight but did possess that downward angle that encourages ground balls, curveball showed some gradual 11/5 action but was loopy when up in the zone.
8/16/15 - The 5-foot-11, 160-pound athletic built righty throws from a high-3/4 arm angle with long and loose arm action, minimal effort in delivery and repeats it well, Flynn’s fastball sat from 74-76 mph with occasional arm-side run. Flynn did a great job spotting up with his slurvy-type curveball at 63-64mph. He stuck with the two pitch mix during the event. Flynn threw two innings giving up two hits on 0 runs with two strikeouts.
