08.08.17 - Area Code Games - Kloffenstein went three innings, struck out three while allowing two hits, one of which was a fly ball double lost in the sun. He also walked one batter. His fastball ranged from 89-93 with heavy life and he mixed in a two-seamer with arm-side sink. His breaking ball had hard sharp break at 79-82.

7/10/17 - Named to Team USA 18U trials roster.
6/27/17 - Threw four innings, allowing just one hit and a walk while striking out three. He has a big frame at 6-foot-5, 240 pounds and is committed to Texas Christian. There is some stiffness to his delivery, but he was up to 93, sitting 89-91, and got down angle on his fastball at times. His slider has short break and ranged from 78-84, though he flashed a sharper one with more break at 78. He pitches from a 3/4 slot with some effort.

04.21.17

TCU recruit. 6-foot-5, 225-pound, long-limbed, projectable frame. Kloffenstein, a young junior with an August birthday, is ranked No. 5 in Texas, and No. 36 Overall. The right-hander works from a high-¾ slot with a repeatable, athletic delivery. His fastball ranged from 85-89 mph, working mostly 86-88 mph, topping out at 89 several times. He was able to command his fastball to both sides of the plate, and elevating the pitch to the top of the zone. His best pitch is a hard slider (or cutter), with 11-5 shape, that he throws with tight spin, and late bite at 77-81 mph. This was his go-to pitch on Friday night, and one that he commands well. He also spins his curveball at 74-75 mph. In a big district game against Tomball Memorial, Kloffenstein showed poise and control, working out of several jams with runners on base. The junior made big pitches in big spots. His final line was 5 IP, 3 H, 1 ER, 6 K, 3 BB.

11.05.16 - 6-foot-5, 200-pounds with a strong frame, working up-tempo between pitches. He throws from a high-¾ arm slot with a smooth, quick arm swing, clean, aggressive delivery allowing him to get down the mound. His fastball ranged from 87-90 mph with life. He threw one cutter at 83 mph and his slider had very good 11-5 shape from 77-79 mph.
