3/1/19: Moss is just now getting his innings built up, but expect him to move into a starting role in the near future. He has an athletic, 6-foot-1, 190-pound frame with some durable strength throughout, and the arm works quick, free, and easy with a repeatable delivery. Featuring a slightly higher front side before clearing the head for a near over the top slot, Moss looks to drive the fastball to the bottom of the zone, and has some effort out front with a head whack. His command of the fastball came and went, especially when he tried to do too much after a big error behind him. He flashed some feel for an average changeup in the low-80s with slightly slower arm speed, and the pitch featured some fading action. The slider showed potential as a future average offering. Overall, Moss is clearly still rusty as he returns, but the arm is quick, and he will likely see velocity jumps throughout the season. (S Hunt)
10/28/18: 6-foot-1, 190-pound, lanky frame. The right-handed works from a high slot with effort in his delivery. Throws a heavy fastball at 93-94 mph. Features a sharp slider with late bite at 84-86 mph. Changeup is a plus pitch at 81-82 mph. Really good feel to pitch. (Kelly)
10.19.18: 6-foot-1, 190-pounds. The right-hander works from an over the top slot with a short, quick arm stroke with effort. Fastball was 91-93 with slight arm side run, and he does a nice job of spotting up the four spot to right-handed hitters. Can spin his curveball early in the count at 76-78 mph with 11/5 shape. Located curveball better to RHH’s, where as he left the pitch up to LHH’s. Goes to the slider later in the count at 84-86 mph with more 10/4 shape.
