3/28/18 - 6’2/195, L/R, Junior. Lean,  athletic frame with more room to add size and strength. Harris was on time all night with moderate leg kick, low set hands, and a short stroke with better than average bat speed. He collected three hits and showed more pop than he is known for, blasting a three run no-doubter to right-center (see video below). That might have been his second best swing of the day through, as he blasted a single directly at the right fielder in his previous at bat. He also pulled a double down the right-field line to start the game. Harris displayed patience at the plate as well, showing why he has walked 26 times and struck out 17 times in 85 at-bats this year. Harris had only a few balls find him defensively, one of which he attempted to make a sliding stop on in the corner that kicked away from him. 

2/22/18 - 6’2/195, L/R, Junior. Coming into the season, Harris was not a well known commodity. He was more of a “pocket follow” (a scouting term meaning low priority) for area scouts. In his four games in South Carolina, he let his bat do the talking. In front of several scouting directors and national cross-checkers Harris went 8-for-14 (.571) with four doubles, one triple, six walks and only one strike out. And it wasn’t really what he did, it was HOW he did it. Harris showed a balanced approach with good bat speed, hitting laser after laser while using the middle of the field. He was even robbed of another single when a savvy Virginia Tech club shifted on him, placing the shortstop up the middle, almost behind second base.
