06.06.17 - 5-foot-10, 155-pound, still developing frame. The left-handed hitter has a balanced setup with easy, repeatable rhythm, short stride and a direct, fluid path to the ball. Head stays still as he transfers his lower half and delivers the barrel out front to a strong point of contact with a loose finish. At shortstop, Morris has average footwork and hands, longer exchange as he throws from a long, over the top arm stroke at 80 mph across the diamond. A two-way player and right-handed pitcher, Morris works from a high-¾ slot with a long arm stroke and a tall-and-fall delivery. His fastball sat 78-79 mph, while his curveball pops up out of his hand at release, it flashes depth and decent spin at 64 mph. He also has feel for a changeup that shows depth at 66 mph.
