8.12.18
At 5-foot-10, 160-pounds, Jackson has a lean, athletic frame, and is a switch-hitter that can handle the bat from both sides of the plate, to go with outstanding footwork at shortstop. From the left side of the plate he starts from a slightly open stance, then loads back smooth with rhythm and his hands work quick through the zone with lag in the barrel and a loose finish. From the right side, his base is slightly wider and he uses a strong top hand to drive the ball to the pull side. At shortstop, Jackson has polished actions as he plays through the ball with quick footwork and rhythm. Clean exchange to the midline his arm works easy from different slots with touch and accuracy, he can make all the plays required by a collegiate infielder.

06.19.18
Five-foot-10, 155-pound athletic frame.  Jackson has quick-twitch actions in his barrel from both sides of the plate with line drive power; 84 mph exit velo from the left side and 82 mph exit velo from the right side.  He handled the bat well from both sides of the plate hitting consistent low line drives off of the barrel to all parts of the field. Shows a solid approach by hitting balls off of the barrel in all parts of the zone.  In the infield he has great footwork with a plus exchange and has a loose quick arm action (80 mph) with carry and accuracy.

06.13.17
5-foot-8, 155-pound, long-limbed, still developing frame. A switch hitter, from the right-side, Jackson has a wide, balanced, grounded setup. He loads back, raising his hands up, lands soft on short stride. Jackson does a nice job of using his hands, whipping the barrel through contact with good extension, producing line drive contact. From the left side of the plate, Jackson starts from a similar stance, but with his weight shifted more toward his back leg. Raises his hands as he loads, slight lift in bat path as the barrel gets on plane earlier with a high finish. Jackson has good barrel awareness and feel for his swing on both sides of the plate. Defensively, Jackson has fluid footwork with a strong sense of timing. Soft hands as he presents his glove low out front, funneling the ball quickly to his midline for a clean exchange. Throws from high-¾ slot with a loose arm stroke at 76 mph across the diamond.
