Positional Profile: 3B/RHP RHP. Physical right-handed pitcher with present arm strength and a deep four pitch mix. Attacks with a firm fastball while showing two distinct breaking ball shapes and a changeup to round out the arsenal. Strength in the frame and present stuff provide a solid foundation for continued development on the mound.
Body: 5-10, 170-pounds. Compact, physical frame with present strength throughout the build. Sturdy lower half provides a strong base for the delivery.
Delivery: RHP. Works with a controlled tempo into the leg lift, gathering over the rubber before driving down the mound. Creates momentum with the lower half while maintaining direction into foot strike. Rotates through the front side into release and finishes with intent, showing an athletic overall operation.
Arm Action: RH. Arm works through a compact path with present quickness into a high three quarter release. Shows arm speed through release and maintains intent across the four pitch mix.
FB: T88, 86-88 mph. Firm fastball that leads the arsenal with arm side action through the zone. Present arm strength gives the pitch a solid velocity foundation with room to continue developing. T2232, 2014 average rpm.
CB: 78-78 mph. Curveball provides a more vertical breaking look with depth off the fastball. Gives him a distinct secondary shape and useful separation from the heater. T2038, 2038 average rpm.
SL: 81-82 mph. Firm slider with tighter shape and glove side action. Plays as the harder of the two breaking balls and gives the arsenal a quality velocity bridge off the fastball. T2305, 1882 average rpm.
CH: 83-83 mph. Firm changeup with pronounced arm side action. Maintains fastball intent through release while giving hitters a different movement profile. T1342, 1342 average rpm.

Positional Profile: 3B/RHP LHH/INF with build/frame to add strength in future. Solid mover on baseball field, will develop into avg runner at least in future, chance to exceed. Solid actions at SS, steady defender, versatility present. Solid bat/power combo in future, hit over power. Will continue to develop. Barrel to baseball in game play with 4 solid hits. Pitching: Sinker/ slider style guy with abiltiy to change delivery for timing deception. Shows some arm speed with abiltiy to change speeds. Can shift weight down the mound better for added control and velo.
Body: 5-9, 162-pounds. Nice build/frame to add strength in future. Showing some now strength to lower. Projects well physically in future.
Delivery: Compact rock step. Gets balanced. Can improve on shifting down the slope. Will change delivery for timing deception.
Arm Action: RH. Compact arm path. H3/4 release. Shows some arm speed.
FB: T86, 83-86 mph. Shows some sink when down in zone. Velo will jump. Command is there when delivery is right. T2169, 1981 average rpm.
SL: 75-77 mph. Shows some sweep and depth to it. Compliments his fastball well. Command will improve with weight shift. T2294, 2123 average rpm.
ATH: 7.15 runner in the 60. 1.70 and 3.96 in the 10 and 30 yard splits. Solid start. Nice stride length. Runs hard, upright runner, bend at waist to get lean forward with head and shoulders. Arms work across body, pump forward, not across body. Chance can develop into plus runner in future, definitely avg. Plus 6.9 or better. 22.20 max vertical.

Rolls onto stride foot early, hindering ability to use back fully in swing along with causing balance issues. Keep stride foot into ground thru completion of swing, hit from ground up. Barrel/hands in good launch position. Takes good path to hit zone, shows developing bat and hand speed. 69.8 mph bat speed with 8 G's of rotational acceleration.
Power: 97 max exit velocity, averaged 84.0 mph. 339' max distance. Project solid bat/power combo in future. Hit over power. Opportunities for adjustment present with hit approach. Great base to make adjustment from, swing works.
Arm: RH. INF-86 mph. Compact arm action. Accurate thrower.
Defense: Under control. Quick feet. Hands work, takes time to put the ball in the air.

Athletic frame with room for added strength. Solid defensive actions with avg HS arm strength. Compact, line-drive swing with bat quickness. Projects as a future plus runner. Confident in the box, competes well in-game.
Deacon Carpenter, a rising sophomore, really impressed on the mound today. His breaking ball is a real swing-and-miss pitch, with excellent command and feel for it. Carpenter also showed great mechanics and a quick arm, and as his fastball velocity continues to increase, the breaking ball will only get better. This young right-hander has the potential to develop into a top arm as he progresses. He’ll be a fun one to track moving forward.
