The third-year sophomore right-hander began his collegiate career at Houston in 2021 but did not appear in a game. Last season at Navarro he battled control problems, walking 35 in 35.2 innings, but was impressive this fall when he took the mound against McLennan. He featured a fastball that sat 90-92 with good command to both sides of the plate and showed the ability to sink it with every fastball to the bottom of the zone. He followed it up with a low-70s curveball that showed good depth and landed it for a strike early in the count, then buried it for a putaway. At 6-foot, 185 pounds he has a strong frame and good athleticism.
