High-waisted, 6-foot-2, 175-pound projectable frame. Wood has some fluidity in his delivery with some effort involved, has a long arm stroke from an over-the-top arm slot that provides downward tilt from a high release point. Wood threw his fastball 80-81 mph, he showed feel for a 12/6 breaking ball and flashed really tight spin and depth on this pitch, he threw his changeup down in the zone with deceptive fastball arm speed and depth at 76-77 mph. Wood has a tall balance point with his hands up high, lands slightly across his body, and has an athletic finish. Wood has yet to reach his ceiling velocity-wise, and showed the ability to command his offspeed pitches down in the zone or below the zone to put hitters away.
