08.06.17 - Area Code Games - RHP Grayson Rodriguez (Central Heights HS, TX) pitched the third and fourth innings, not allowing a baserunner while striking out two. He was 91-92 in his first inning and then 89-90, touching 92. He pitches from a 3/4 to high-3/4 slot and got arm-side run to his fastball. His slider was 79-81 and lacked bite, though it flashed some tilt.


06.26.17 - 6-foot-5, 235-pound frame. The right-hander works from a high-¾ slot with a clean arm stroke. His fastball was 90-92 mph in the bullpen, 88-92 mph during the game. His curveball was 69-72 with downer shape, while his slider has more lateral life with tighter spin at 78 mph.

6-foot-5, 220-pound strong frame. Works from a ¾ slot with a power fastball ranging from 92-94 mph with some arm-side life. His slider had good depth from 78-79 mph and he spun one curveball at 73 mph. The left-handed hitter put on a display with light-tower power in batting practice launching four home runs. The junior added three hits during the game, two of the hits were to left field and smashing a double that one-hopped the wall in center field.

09.09.16 - 6-foot-5, 220-pound frame. Big strong body with well-defined lower half and broad shoulders. Works from high-3/4 slot, pitched 89-91 mph with fastball life to his glove side, touched 93 once. His ball was heavy at the bottom of the zone. Slider was 71-73 mph with slurvey action. He threw one changeup at 82 mph in second inning.
