An athletic, well-built frame at 5-6, 135-pounds, Wilson’s size doesn’t play to his peripherals. He ran a 6.74 60-yard dash with quick arms and legs, and you can see his football background through the entirety of his sprint. The right-handed hitter has active hands pre-pitch with a little wiggle in his bat, but he understands his own rhythm. There is a slight leg load as he corks his lead leg into his stance before gliding towards the front of the batter’s box. He creates a lot of room for his bat within the strike zone, even showing consistent lift in his swing. His athleticism and quick-twitch nature create a swing with plenty of torque. In the outfield, Wilson isn’t rushed, as he gathers all of his frame before showing a strong, clean, over-the-top arm swing that touched 87 mph. Despite his size, everything he does on the ballfield is not without vigor.

Wilson is a fun player to watch as he has an aggressive mentality on the field and a fast-twitch, athletic frame at 5-foot-6, 135-pounds. The uncommitted junior ran a 6.81 60-yard dash but its easy to see that he plays faster than that as he gets to full speed and changes direction quickly. The right-handed hitter has loose, strong hands and smooth rhythm at the plate, helping him create good leverage and strength at contact with an exit velocity of 85 mph. Gap approach with line drive power right now, but expect that improve as he continues to gain varsity at-bats this season. Can see him fitting in nicely in the top of the order in college. Moves well in the outfield, rhythm through the ball, quick footwork, clean exchange, comes through the ball aggressively. Accurate arm to go with a quick arm stroke and a top velocity of 86 mph.
5-foot-6, 135-pound frame. Wilson began the day by posting a 6.93 60-yard dash. The right-handed hitter starts from an athletic, balanced, tall, slightly open stance. Smooth load to get started, rocks inward, then slides his hands back and lifts his front leg with a balanced leg-kick. Lands in an athletic launch position, fires his lower half with good weight transfer, and shows a short, fluid hand path with strength in the barrel. Wilson showed the ability to drive the ball from gap-to-gap, keeping his barrel in the zone a long time with a loose finish and an exit velocity of 82 mph. In the outfield, Wilson has fluid footwork and clean exchanges. He throws from a short, high- slot with good accuracy at 84 mph. Wilson showed off his athleticism with a somersault after several of his throws during the workout and made two diving catches during the game.
