02.23.17 - West Virginia commit. 5-foot-9, 160-pound,athletic frame. Foster was impressive in this opening game from the left-side of the plate facing left-handed pitcher and LSU commit, John Kodros. The centerfielder lined out sharply to center field in second at-bat and was a 4.6 on the turn at first base. In his third at-bat he stayed on a curveball and singled through the right side to plate a run for The Eagles. On Saturday, Foster beat out an infield single on a two strike pitch with a 4.21 home-to-first time.
09.09.16
5-foot-9, 160-pound frame. Showed good awareness with a drag bunt attempt and had several hard fought at-bats including a base hit in the six hole where he was 4.6 on the turn.
The left-handed hitter has a tall set-up in the box with relaxed rhythm and control. He took really good hacks against velocity at the Under Armour tryout going 1-for-2 with a two missiles, one for a base hit to right field, the other a deep fly ball to left field. An above average runner with a 4.27 home-to-first time, Foster looks the part of an athletic all-around baseball player with long strides, good acceleration and clean exchanges in the outfield. He tracked down a would-be double to left-centerfield and threw out a base runner at second on a would-be double off the wall.
10-14-2018: At the top of the McLennan order, freshman center fielder Kendall Foster finished just 1-for-4, but barreled the ball multiple times. Foster also made a tremendous running grab at the wall in right-center to rob UT’s Tate Shaw of an extra-base hit. Foster stepped into the box confidently and showed some bat speed and hand strength.
