The Texas A&M transfer entered in the bottom of the fourth for his first relief appearance of the season and lasered a 96 on his first pitch. From there he sat 92-94 and mixed in a mid-80s slider. Some had 17” of horizontal break, others more cutter shaped with 3-4”. More of a thrower than pitcher, Curtis lost his release point and walked the bases loaded on 15 pitches to begin his second inning of relief against Oregon State. However, he is very athletic, fields his position extremely well and has upside remaining in his 6-foot-5, 210-pound frame. Day Three prospect.
