Cape Cod- Strong, athletic and showed good bat speed with his best power coming to the big field. He's also a front foot hitter who has struggled with off speed to the tune of a .143 batting average with 20 strikeouts in 73 Cape plate appearances.
TCU recruit. Boyers, the switch-hitting outfielder sets up in a deep crouch and looks to drive the ball from gap to gap. Was on base all four times, and finished with a single, a triple, and two walks. While playing with plenty of energy.
A powerful 5-foot-11, 170-pound, switching hitting freshman, with the ability to play multiple positions on the field. Boyers has a strong arm, excellent speed, and an aggressive mentality on the bases. He shows all of the tools to be a top college prospect in his class. Going 2-4 with two stolen bases, Boyers made hard contact in each of his at-bats. He reached base safely with two low-line drives to the outfield, getting out of the box and reaching first base at a 4.14 click. His first three at-bats were taken from the right side as he faced a LHP, and took his last at-bat from the left side which he drove a ball hard toward the gap.
