With a reliever look to his delivery, the strong-bodied 6-foot-1, 205-pound Trahan delivered 92-94 mph fastballs to the plate, touching a 96 in both of his appearances during the Classic. He mixed in an occasional 83-84 mph slider, but mostly challenged with his heater. So far this season Trahan has a 0.00 ERA in four appearances.
06.26.17 - 6-foot-1, 190-pound, strong frame. The right-hander works from a high slot with a clean arm stroke. His fastball was 91-92 mph during the game. His curveball was 78 mph with good depth, he also has a cutter that tops out at 85 mph with late, glove side life.
04.20.17 - Dallas Baptist recruit. 6-foot-1, 195-pound, projectable frame. The right-hander works from a high-¾ slot with an athletic delivery. The first five fastballs he threw were all 90 mph. He settled into the 88-90 mph range, topping out at 91 mph once. He flashes good tilt and downward angle on his fastball, but in this outing he left too many fastballs up in the zone. His cutter/slider is a plus pitch at 82-86 mph and flashes late life and sharp bite. He hung a couple early, but the pitch got better as the game went on. Finished with a no-decision after being lifted in the 5th inning, allowing three earned runs on six hits and four walks, with three strikeouts. Trahan is No. 26 in Texas 2018 Ranking, and No. 180 Overall. A two-way player and right-handed hitter, Trahan also went 1-for-2 with a homerun and a walk. In the fourth inning, he sent a hanging curveball deep into the trees in left field.

6-foot-1, 195-pounds, Trahan has all-around athletic strength with broad shoulders. He works from a high-¾ slot with long arm action. Fastball ranged from 87-90 mph in two innings and showed some heavy action at the bottom of the zone. His slider has a cutter-type action. In the first inning the slider had loose spin at 75 mph. But in the second inning the pitch went from pedestrian to swing-and-miss at 79-81 mph with tight spin and lateral movement. He threw one changeup at 78 mph. Trahan also had a good day at the plate going 1-for-3 with a double to left-center and a fly ball on the barrel to center field.

He has shown the ability to square up balls with strength in the barrel.
