With Hamberg's ability on the mound, he will surely draw a ton of attention from college recruiters. A two-way player and right-handed hitter, Hamberg starts from a tall, balanced stance with loose rhythm in a high hand set. Simple swing with easy, repeatable rhythm, medium stride, lands square with leverage. Hands work easy through the zone with a repeatable path. Maintains balance as he transfers his weight through contact with a high finish and good extension through contact and average bat speed (81 mph). In the outfield, Hamberg has a good sense of timing as he plays through the ball with average hands and feet and a quick transition to throw 83 mph to the dish.
