5-foot-10, 160-pound frame with budding strength.  At the plate he hits from a slightly crouched open stance with weight in his back leg, has a fluid load with his hands, balance in his low leg kick, smooth weightshift that minimizes his head movement, tight turns in his aggressive swing with quick hands, strength at the point of contact, and extension through the hitting zone.  Gutierrez had an 84 mph exit velocity off the tee and made some hard contact in BP hitting balls to the left center gap with carry. 84 mph arm strength from the outfield, made accurate throws with some carry to the plate with a clean exchange. Ran a 7.26 laser-timed 60. Off the mound his fastball was 80-82 with his fastball, flashed tight spin on his curveball (72 mph) and the ability to throw this pitch down below the strike zone, and his changeup had late sink at 74-75 mph.  The right-hander has fluidity in his delivery with some effort involved, has a short arm stroke, maintains excellent balance and body control in his delivery, and has an athletic finish in-line to the plate.
