05.27.17 - There is a lot of strength in Washburn’s smaller frame at 5-foot-8, 165-pounds. The junior ran a 6.88-second 60-yard dash and registered an exit velo of 91 mph from the left side, 87 mph from the right side. In recent high school games we have seen Washburn show off elite baseball speed with savvy from the leadoff spot at College Park HS. The left-handed hitter uses the whole field and has strength at contact, not to mention he can bunt for a hit anytime, recording 3.71-second times to first base.

04.20.17 -
5-foot-8, 165-pound, muscular frame. Washburn, an uncommitted junior, utilizes a plus run tool to set the tone at the top of the order for College Park. The left-handed hitter started the game with a base hit to leftfield, hitting an outside fastball the other way. He later stole third base and scored on a passed ball. In his second at-bat, he ran a 3.71-second time to first on a base hit drag bunt. In his last at-bat he laced a hard line drive to left field. Although he is a smaller framed infielder, Washburn has strength in the barrell and executes his gap-to-gap approach with precision. High end runner with good offensive instincts.
