6/17/19

The 6-foot-2, 225-pound Justice put up an astonishing 102 exit velocity off the tee and showed really quick bat speed in the live BP. He posted a 7.44 60-yard dash, and was fundamentally clean in the field.

7.23.18
Justice has a sturdy, durable frame at 6-foot-2, 225-pounds. The right-handed hitter has real strength in his hands with the ability to bang the ball around the yard with a top exit velocity of 102. Starting from an open stance, he has easy rhythm and loose hands as he loads back, then strides square, before using a powerful lower half transfer with quick hands to produce line drives and deep fly balls to the gaps. At first base, Justice plays through the ball with soft hands that work low, into a clean exchange with a top velocity across the diamond of 75 mph. A two-way player and right-handed pitcher, Justice works from a ¾ slot with a clean arm swing, and repeats his drop-and-drive delivery with good hip turn down the mound, landing square with an athletic finish. Throws a heavy fastball at 80-82, and his changeup has good depth and fade at 72-74 mph. Also mixed in a 10/4 curveball with good rotation and depth at 70 mph.

07.22.17
6-foot-1, 215-pound, strong, thick frame. A two-way player and right-handed hitter, Justice is an advanced hitter for his class, and registered the highest exit velocity of the event at 101 mph off the tee. Tall setup with a slightly open stance, relaxed load with a short stride. Simple strength, explosive bat speed, quick hands, gap approach, easy weight transfer, loose finish. Quality round of batting practice with a middle of the field approach and barrel awareness. Put together quality at-bats during the game, was on time with the fastball and showed the ability to keep his hands back on off-speed pitches. Elite level hitter for his class with projectable power. At first base, Justice has deliberate footwork, average hands, an easy transfer and threw 78 mph across the infield.
The right-hander works from a high-¾ slot with a quick arm stroke. Smooth tempo and rhythm with a drop and drive delivery and an athletic finish. Fastball comes out clean with straight action at 79-83 mph, with more velocity to come. Curveball has 11/5 shape at 67-69 mph. Good feel for his changeup that he threw for strikes with sink and fade at 69-71 mph.

06.13.17 - 6-foot-1, 215-pound, sturdy, muscular frame. Justice has a bright future both on the mound and as a hitter. The right-hander works from a high-¾ slot with a loose, quick, medium arm stroke. He has good balance and easy effort in a smooth, drop and drive delivery. Level shoulders, directional delivery, and an athletic finish in his lower half. His fastball was 79-82 mph, topping out at 83 mph with slight cut and run. His curveball spins at 67-69 with 12-6 shape and limited depth. His changeup has sink at the bottom of the zone at 72 mph. And he threw one slider at 69 mph that had 11-5 shape.

Offensively, the right-handed hitter has serious juice in his bat with an exit velocity of 94 mph. He starts from a tall, athletic stance, smooth load with rhythm, soft stride, partially dives into the plate. Keeps his head still as he uses a short path to pull balls with power, and back spun several in the gaps. Good barrel awareness and feel for hitting. At first base he has a clean exchange with soft hands and threw 78 mph across the infield.
