06.14.17 - 5-foot-11, 180-pound, athletic frame. Galvan is an all-around athletic player that plays hard and hits the ball on the barrel consistently with power. Several times this spring and summer, we have seen Galvan show in-game power and an excellent feel for hitting both fastballs and breaking balls. The right-handed hitter has smooth rhythm, smooth load, balanced lower half weight transfer. He gets into his front side and delivers the barrel authority and a loose finish. Line drive approach during batting practice. In the outfield, he plays through the ball with quick footwork and a smooth exchange into a short, high-¾, athletic arm stroke at 89 mph with accuracy and carry.

05.05.17 - 5-foot-10, 170-pound, medium frame with athletic build. Galvan continued to impress offensively in the Lions’ final game of the season. The uncommitted junior launched a three-run home run to left field in the first inning. After a sac bunt in his second at-bat, Galvan added another base hit in the six hole. The right-handed hitter has quick rhythm in the box with a middle-pull side approach, delivering the barrel with strength at contact.

04.11.17 - 5-foot-10, 170-pound, athletic frame. This was our second look at Galvan and McKinney HS and the uncommitted junior continued to swing the bat well. Galvan was 2-for-4 with two RBI, including a two-strike RBI double he stroked down the third base line in the first inning. He singled in a run in his third at-bat and lined out to center field on a curveball in his last at-bat. Galvan is an athletic outfielder with good barrel awareness and strength at contact.

03.24.17 - Approximately 5-foot-10, 170-pound, athletic frame. The right-handed hitter was 2-for-3, 3-for-3 in QAB’s. Hitting in the 3-hole, he smashed a double to left center in his first at-bat and ran a 4.34-second on the turn. He turned on another ball in his second at-bat, this time hitting single to left field. In his third at-bat, he laced a line drive to center field. Galvan, an uncommitted junior, showed a smooth swing with quick hands and bat speed on Friday night, also made a nice play on a pop up.
