Hernandez struck out three in two innings while showing command of four pitches. He worked with a clean, repeatable delivery from a high three-quarter slot. Fastball sat 82–84 mph with projection. The CB spun at 2400 rpm at 72–73 mph, while his best pitch was the SL at 79 mph with late depth.

Positional Profile: LHP/OF LHP: Solid lefty arm with clean and repeatable delivery. A strike thrower with feel for all pitches. FB sits 82-84 and shows ability to gain velo in the future. Best off speed is his SL. When thrown firm (76+), it pairs with his FB well and has good actions. Will continue to make strides with increase in strength.
Body: 5-10, 165-pounds. Good build/frame to add strength in future. Width to back present. Good lower.
Delivery: Clean and repeatable delivery. Side rock step with high lift. Good direction and gets into front leg. Occasionally spins out of front leg too early.

CH: 75-76 mph. Fade action to arm side with developing deception. Tail, some sink to glove side. T1745, 1736 average rpm.
ATH: 7.06 runner in the 60. Solid start, upright finish, maintain some lean forward. Run time will improve in future.

Hit: RHH. Upright stance, short stride, lands in good position to hit. Nice use of lower 1/2 in swing with good posture. Simple, efficient approach. Barrel/hands in good position to launch. Shows late movement down with hands/barrel hindering consistent timing to swing. Work to eliminate late movement, launch form higher position taking direct path to zone with hands/barrel. this will help get on plane for line drive contact as well. 66.2 mph bat speed with 19 G's of rotational acceleration.
Power: 88 max exit velocity, averaged 77.0 mph. 330' max distance. Project solid bat/power combo in future with adjustments. Nice base to work with, will develop.
Arm: LH. INF-81 mph. OF-86 mph. OF Arm work well. Some carry present, developing. 1B Works well, throws from all angles.
Defense: OF Solid fielder, moves well to baseball. Gets in good position to field, breaks down well. Feet work throwing. 1B Solid actions at 1st. Feet work well getting off bag and moving when fielding ball. Hands are solid. Nice actions at 1st.
ATH: 7.06 runner in the 60. Solid start, upright finish, maintain some lean forward. Run time will improve in future.
Brayden Hernandez (Montgomery, 2026) had a strong showing, especially on the mound. His fastball topped out at 83 mph with excellent carry, consistently producing over 20 inches of induced vertical break (IVB). He paired it with an upper-60s breaking ball that featured spin rates north of 2500 rpm, showing good depth and room to improve with added power. Hernandez also demonstrated good feel for his changeup, which worked effectively off his fastball. With plenty of strength to gain, Hernandez is poised to add velocity and continue developing into a standout arm.
