Great build/frame with plenty of room to add strength. Plus run tool with the quickness to impact the game on the bases. Developing actions at shortstop, though center field could also become a defensive home with his speed. The hit approach should continue to firm up, and the impact at the plate will increase as he adds strength.

Evan Mauritzen, Memorial (TX), 2028 Positional Profile: SS/OF Athletic, WAA run tool. Developing SS. CF may be option as well with run speed. LHH, looking for line drive contact to develop. Body: 6-1, 162-pounds. Width to shoulders/back. Good middle/lower, Projects well physically for future strength. Hit: LHH. Lands in solid position after stride. Rotaitonal back foot showing slight linear movement forward. Lower 1/2 works in swing. Hits into firm front leg, stride foot stays into ground, solid hitting from ground up. Body laid back at point of contact, drive hips forward more for upright posture allowing for swing to get on plane creating more line drive contact. With stride, lead elbow drops down creating barrel tip. Hands/barrel work back to area behind head for launch, must be on time for consistency, recommend soften elbow movement allowing for barrel to just start from area behind head, simplfying process. Scoop swing, work to take hands/barrel on direct path to hit zone to get on plane for line drive contact. Power: 95 max exit velocity, averaged 84.1 mph. 313' max distance. WAA run speed, work to get on plane for line drive contact to take advantage of run tool. Power will develop, but speed is bigger/better tool. Arm: RH. INF-83 mph. Arm works, raw arm strength will develop. Shows ability to make throws on the move from angles. Defense: Feet work getting to baseball. Left foot in front of right foot if possible when fielding, firm playing thru baseball with feet, staying low. Hands work, fields baseball out front. Actions developing. Will be solid infielder. ATH: 6.54 runner in the 60. 1.60 and 3.67 in the 10 and 30 yard splits. Well above avg speed with plus start. Will get SB's. 28.50 max vertical.
