A former Future Gamer, who moved to Utah over a year ago from the Sacramento area, also cousins with former U Pacific and current Oklahoma Sooner LHP-Grant Stevens, Frank has tools coming from a 6-1 170 Lb lean athletic frame, that with an added 20 lbs, could really take his game to another level. Posting abv avg data in most parts of his game and showing added strength since last summer's Future Games and State Games in Oct, Frank posted an EV of 99.2 with a max distance of 384, which was 6th at the event (12 players posted EV north of 100), so his showing was in the top 10-20% of a loaded event! He was also 4th in the event with a sweet spot% of 80 and threw effortless throws from the OF at 86 mph, suggesting 90+ is coming over the next year or so! The hitting stroke is from a semi crouched open stance and could hos front hip into the launch phase and gets his bat head turned to a 45 degree angle and fires his barrel inside and through the ball with a middle of the field approach. The bat head is flatter and consistent with a LD approach, yet when he caught the bottom ½ of the ball, the ball jumped with backspin carry and distance, as he left the yard on multiple occasions, with high and long shots out of Pine View HS. A gliding runner that clocked in at a 7.01 and it’s an easy running gate, to potentially cut 2-3 tenths of a second off his 60 yrd dash as he continues to fill out and add lower body size and strength. The best is yet to come with this projectable “catches your eye” athletic mover!
