VA/DC Unsigned Senior Games

Hamilton is 6-0 with a lankier athletic 175 pound frame that has some projection left. He hits from the right side from a slightly open balanced athletic stance, short stride on line, short load back to a slight wrap. Hips rotate completely and he maintains some lower half balance. Hands stay inside, short to the ball, uphill swing path with some strength present at contact point, showed a pull approach with some natural loft built into swing, exit velocity was 80. In the infield, rounds the ball and fields with a wider base and above average hands, works through the ball with a clean exchange, throws from a low three-quarters arm slot, short loose quick arm action, position velocity was 86. Showed versatility working out in the outfield as well. Ran a 7.65 60 yard dash. On the mound, he throws from a low three-quarters arm slot, long free arm action and some effort to his delivery. Shoulders are uphill and closed, lands open with a slight fall off finish and recoil. Fastball was 78-81, with some downward angle and hard late armside run that also has some depth to it. Slider was 66-67 with good armspeed and sharp 10/4 break to it. Change-up was 62-63 with some armspeed and a bit of cut and late sink to it.

Rage Scout Day

Athletic frame with projection left to it standing 5-foot-11, 162-pounds. Had a solid all around day, but was an interesting arm on the mound. It's a long loose arm action and works from a low three-quarter arm slot. Pitches with intent and there is some effort in the delivery. Fastball sat 76-80 mph and played up in the zone at times. With the spin rate on the fastball being 1800-1900 he will benefit from working down in the zone in order to have consistent success with it. Slider had makings of a solid secondary pitch with a tight short action 12/6 break at 68-70 mph. Changeup was 69-70 mph.
