Preseason All-State 2/17/18
Hill is 6-1 with an athletic frame that has some projection left to it. He throws with a drop and drive delivery from a high three-quarters arm slot with a shorter arm action that is loose and quick, throws with some effort. Shoulders uphill and closed, lands square with an athletic finish. Fastball was 81-84, touching 85, with downward plane and some sink. Curveball was 71-74 with good armspeed and hard late 12/6 break. Change-up was 75-76 with some armspeed and late run. Slider was 73-74 with late hard downer action.
10.31.17: Projectable 6-foot-1, 180-pound frame with long arms. Controlled, build up delivery. Creates some corkscrew in lift. Longer, loose arm actions. Creates arm speed on the mound with regular effort. Gets some lower half involvement. Has body tilt to create his over the top arm slot. Fastball was 81-84 mph touching 85 on the day. Breaking ball has short 12/6 action on the pitch. Was up to 73 mph and shows put away potential. Change has fade at 75 mph. More in the tank and projectable arm.
