Fastball sat 72-75 with slight sink. Curveball had 11/5 break, running 60-65. Short three quarters arm action in the infield, position velocity of 67. Average hands, fluid footwork, and a clean exchange. Hits from the right side with a slight crouch. Leg kick stride and an ok lower half with average balance throughout his swing. Level swing with gap or better power to his pull side, exit velocity of 92.
5.22.16: Brooks stands 6-1 and has an athletic frame. Throws from a three-quarters arm slot with a drop and drive delivery. Long, loose arm that is quick and generates velocity with normal effort. Shoulders level and online, strides on line to a square landing with athletic finish. Fastball had slight run, thrown for strikes at 76-78. 11/5 curveball with gradual break running 64-66. Fading change-up with good armspeed thrown for strikes running 67-68.
