Lynch, a Virginia commit, is a lanky 6-foot-5, 165 pound, Left handed pitcher.  On the mound, Lynch is smooth with a good rhythm and stays on line.  He has the ability to move in and out with a fastball that sits 85-87 mph, touching 88 mph on occasion.  Lynch also offers a breaking ball that sits 73-76 mph that could end up as a plus pitch and a change up that has a split finger type action at 74-76 mph.

3/14/18 - 6’4/195. Junior. Long, lanky frame. Thin. Loose delivery. Sets up on third base side. High leg kick. Stays in line to the plate. 3/4 slot. Average arm speed. Pulled open at times, but made adjustment. Fastball ranged from 87-93 mph. Sat mostly 90-91 for four innings. Dipped to 87-88 and was 90-91 again in the seventh. Extremely heavy on offspeed stuff in final three innings. 67/100 pitches for strikes. Fastball flashed arm-side sink. Breaking ball varied. Velo was 78-83. Showed 10/4 to 11/5 shape with depth to arm side. Tight break at times. More cutter/slider like action when pitching to glove side. Feel for fading changeup at 81-84. 7 IP, 3 H, 2 BB, 2 HBP, 7 SO. Located all three pitches well and pitched mostly down in the zone. Control better than line indicates.
